Badulla's climate is characterized by mild winters and warm summers, with temperatures rarely dropping below 6°C. The coolest months are January and December, but even then the temperature averages around 20°C. Spring-like conditions prevail in March and April, while May marks the beginning of a warmer period that continues until June, which is also the hottest month. Temperatures gradually decrease from July to September, before stabilizing at around 21°C from October to November. The winter months are generally cooler, with December being one of the chilliest periods.
